Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Week starts next Monday

ABU DHABI, 14TH November / WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority, the activities of Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Week 2025 in its second edition will begin next Monday, with wide participation from families, partners and various segments of society throughout the emirate, under the slogan “Together we make Abu Dhabi a family-friendly emirate.”

In conjunction with the Year of Community, this year’s week’s activities, organized by the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority in cooperation with more than 65 partners, will be held during the period from November 17 to 23 in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra, presenting more than 300 community events designed by partners to celebrate the importance of early childhood, and inviting all members of society to participate in a journey of play, learning, and discovery, within an atmosphere full of fun, interaction, and rich experiences.

With the participation of a group of strategic partners from various sectors, Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Week celebrates the importance of the first years in a child’s life. Partners include ADNOC as the “Energy Partner,” the National Academy for Child Development as the “Vision Partner,” and PureHealth as the “Health Partner.”

The week also offers a variety of activities that combine fun and benefit and encourage quality time between children and their families.

Activities include interactive workshops, play-based educational experiences, cultural performances and health events, all of which contribute to strengthening family ties, consolidating Emirati cultural identity, and transforming public spaces in the emirate into vibrant, inspiring educational environments.

The week’s activities provide families with wide options to suit different interests, as they can attend the “Foundation Stones and Treasures of the Future” workshops at the Abu Dhabi Children’s Library, engage in interactive entertainment and educational experiences at Clym Yas Island, participate in fun races and sports activities in the public parks, or join health awareness activities at the Galleria Mall.

Among the most prominent events are also the interactive Family Day at Liwa, organized by ADNOC in the Al Dhafra region, positive education workshops within the “Ulfa” program of the National Academy for Childhood Development, and free football training sessions for children aged 5 to 8 years at 321 Sports organized by “Modon”, in addition to interactive educational experiences organized by PureHealth and the M42 Group aiming to enhance health awareness and quality of life.

Most of the week’s events are free and open to the public, with the exception of some limited events that require entry tickets or special invitations.

The Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority confirmed that the week represents an open invitation to every family in the emirate to enjoy distinctive experiences that combine learning and fun, and encourages parents to explore new ways of interacting with their children, in safe, supportive and fun environments that reflect Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading, family-friendly emirate.

The Authority indicated that this annual event has become a community platform that celebrates the importance of the first years in a child’s life, and contributes to raising awareness of the importance of supporting early childhood. The week also emphasizes the essential role of play as an essential means of supporting a child’s development, and the importance of spending interactive time with family members in establishing emotional bonds, as daily interaction with a child can have a tangible and lasting impact on his academic achievement.

A group of partners from various sectors are participating in the week, including the Department of Municipalities and Transport, the Department of Culture and Tourism, the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre, the M42 Group, the Department of Community Development, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Shams Energy Company, Al Ain Football Club, Bedaya Media Company, Miral – Yas Island, the National Archives and Library, Mudon Company, and others.
