“Industrial Localization Opportunities – Made in Bahrain” activities will be launched next Wednesday

The “Industrial Localization Opportunities – Made in Bahrain” activities will kick off next Wednesday, in the presence of Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Trade, at the Radisson Blu Diplomat Hotel, with the participation of an elite group of executive leaders from major national industrial companies.
The event is organized by the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, represented by the Industry and Energy Committee, as part of its continuing efforts to support the industrial sector and enhance local content. The event aims to enhance cooperation between major factories and small and medium enterprises by presenting the factories’ needs for products and spare parts that can be manufactured locally, which contributes to developing national supply chains, reducing dependence on imports, transferring industrial knowledge, and raising local capabilities, to achieve the desired industrial sustainability.
On the sidelines of the symposium, an accompanying exhibition will be held with the participation of a number of major factories and companies, most notably: Aluminum Bahrain Company (Alba), Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), Amiri Industries Company, Gulf Ship Manufacturing and Repair Company (ASRY), Gulf Aluminum Rolling Mill Company (GARMCO), and Gulf Petrochemical Manufacturing Company (GPIC).
The Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Labor Fund “Tamkeen”, Export Bahrain, Bahrain Development Bank, Bahrain Facilities, and Al Amal Holding Company are also participating in the exhibition as supporting and stimulating bodies for the local industrial sector.
On this occasion, Samir Abdullah Nass, President of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stressed that organizing this event comes within the framework of the Chamber’s firm commitment to supporting the national industry and enabling small and medium enterprises to enter the local production system, stressing that the event represents a national platform for localizing industries and building sustainable partnerships between various parties in the industrial sector.
The event also includes a dialogue session with the participation of a number of prominent speakers, including: Dalal Al Ghais – CEO of the Bahrain Development Bank, Ali Al Baqali – CEO of Aluminum Bahrain (Alba), Ibrahim Khalil – Chief Operating Officer of Gulf Aluminum Rolling Mills Company (GARMCO), Akbar Jafari – CEO of Jafcon Consulting and Production Company, Mohammed Shaaban – CEO of Al Jisr Industrial Services Factory, in addition to Khalid Al Qasimi – Director of the Industrial Development Department at the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
It is noteworthy that the event comes within a series of Bahrain Chamber initiatives aimed at supporting industrial integration and raising the sector’s contribution to the domestic product, thus enhancing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s position as a promising industrial center in the region.
