– Within the efforts of localization and local content in the sector

under the supervision of the Ministry of Energy; The Saudi Electricity Company is organizing the 2025 Suppliers Forum at its headquarters in Riyadh under the slogan: "Together we contribute to the energy industry " With broad participation from partners, suppliers, contractors and manufacturers from various sectors.

The organization of the forum comes to keep pace with the transformation and growth in the electricity industry, as part of the efforts made by the energy system to enhance localization and local content in the sector, in order to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, to enhance the Kingdom’s leadership and its global position in leading the transformation towards more efficient and sustainable energy.

During the forum, the company will review its strategy based on six basic pillars. These include: security of supply and reliability, safety and operational excellence, environment, social responsibility and governance, financial sustainability, localization and local content, and leadership in customer experience, stressing that these pillars form the driving framework for all its future projects and programmes.

In the context of talking about localization and local content, the CEO of Saudi Electricity, Engineer Khaled Al-Ghamdi, announced that the company achieved a localization rate of 71%, while the percentage of local content exceeded 64%, which reflects the growing role of national industries in supporting the energy sector.

Saudi Electricity also received several national awards confirming its role in the localization and local content sector, including the Local Content Percentage Award for Leadership in the Energy Sector, and the Local Content Preference Award at the level of government companies.

It also reviewed "Saudi Electricity Company stated the size of its existing development projects, as its project portfolio includes a huge number of active projects in all regions of the Kingdom, covering the production, transportation, and distribution sectors and all supporting activities, and is consistent with its strategic foundations and the directions of the national energy sector.

The company stressed that the Suppliers Forum represents more than just a conference; it is a space to promote open dialogue, generate new ideas, and develop partnerships that raise standards of performance, quality and innovation. Stressing that the company’s continued development requires stronger and more flexible partnerships based on transparency and shared successes.
