Hamdan bin Mohammed discusses with the Minister of Defense of Montenegro the future of cooperation between the two countries

On the sidelines of the Dubai Airshow 2025, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, met today with Dragan Krapovic, Minister of Defense of Montenegro.

His Highness welcomed Minister Krapovic, stressing the depth of cooperation ties between the two friendly countries, in light of the wise leadership’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with Montenegro and the countries of the Balkan region, and the subsequent importance of strengthening joint work in order to monitor and activate more opportunities to exchange expertise, successful experiences, and future visions in various fields that support development, including economic, cultural, and defense, and strive to advance this cooperation to serve the interests of both sides.

During the meeting, His Highness stressed the great care that the UAE attaches to efforts to establish security and stability at the global level, based on its firm belief that peace is the best way to pave the way for successful and sustainable development, and that dialogue and peaceful methods are the basis for resolving conflicts and enhancing the elements of progress and prosperity at the regional and international levels.

For his part, Dragan Karapović expressed his country’s appreciation for the pioneering role played by the UAE in the region and the world, noting its rational approach calling for peace and constructive dialogue and its development contributions that affect several regions around the world, and its embrace of major global events aimed at advancing the process of international cooperation towards achieving a better future for humanity.

The Minister of Defense of Montenegro praised the great positive impact of the Dubai Airshow, which is one of the largest global events specialized in the aviation, space and defense sector, praising the exhibition’s contribution to shaping the future of these vital sectors, through a gathering that includes leaders and makers of aviation and defense technology from around the world in one place to review the latest technical systems and solutions that will serve societies and enhance their opportunities for development.

The meeting touched on a number of topics of common interest, in addition to discussing the most important regional and international developments, the latest developments in the Middle East region, and the ongoing efforts to establish the elements of security and stability in the region, and enhance the chances of comprehensive and lasting peace there.

The meeting was attended by Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Fadel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defense Affairs, and Major General Khalifa Rashid Al Hameli, Director of the Office of His Highness the Minister of Defence.
