Hamdan bin Mohammed discusses with the Armenian Minister of Defense the promotion of regional and global peace

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, met yesterday with the Armenian Minister of Defence, Suren Babikan, on the sidelines of the Dubai Airshow 2025, which kicked off yesterday, with the participation of more than 1,500 exhibitors from around the world, to shape the future of aviation, space and defense.

During the meeting, His Highness welcomed Suren Babikan, expressing the UAE’s pride in the friendly and cooperative relations it has with the Republic of Armenia, and its aspiration to advance this cooperation, in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples and supports the strategic priorities of the two countries, at all levels of defence, development, technology and future industries, based on the UAE’s established approach and its continued keenness to strengthen partnerships that will consolidate stability that supports development and spread the elements of coexistence. And understanding between peoples, which supports their opportunities for progress and prosperity.

His Highness stressed that the UAE believes that cooperation in developing defense capabilities aims to create guarantees that protect world peace, and helps spread its components, in a way that ensures that the peoples protect their development gains, and gives them a sense of reassurance and confidence, as a safe and stable environment represents the first requirement for economic prosperity and the most important catalyst in encouraging investments, launching projects, and continuing development efforts in various fields.

For his part, the Armenian Minister of Defense expressed his country’s appreciation for the leadership, government and people of the UAE, stressing Armenia’s keenness to discover more opportunities for cooperation between the two sides, in light of the continued progress in the growing economic, cultural and technological ties between the two countries.

The meeting discussed the prospects for cooperation in exchanging experiences, joint work to enhance traditional and future defense equipment, and modern defense systems, as well as cooperation in preparing and training human cadres, and providing them with theoretical and practical knowledge that will help them employ advanced technologies in ensuring the highest levels of readiness and field efficiency of defense systems.
