Dubai shapes the future.. Belhoul identifies 3 transformations that will change the shape of the world by 2035

During his opening speech at the Dubai Future Forum 2025 held at the Museum of the Future, Khalfan Juma Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, reviewed 3 radical transformations that will reshape the future over the next 10 years by 2035, and represent a new starting point for understanding the future of humanity and the role of technology in shaping it.
He said that the first transformation is “focus,” as it has become the new currency of the future, pointing out that our ability to focus is declining in an unprecedented manner, and whoever protects and invests in his deep focus will have a competitive advantage in the future.
He added that the second transformation is represented by the “abundance of information,” which is no longer a challenge. Rather, the real challenge has become how to transform this abundance of information into better decisions, indicating that the future expert is not the most informed, but rather the one who is able to extract meaning and guidance from this huge flow of data.”
He stated that the third transformation is “artificial intelligence,” saying: Artificial intelligence has become the closest thing to humans, virtual companions who listen without judgment and do not leave the chat. The size of this sector will double by 2032, and we must ask: How will we redefine human communication in a world where everyone can find someone to listen to them at any moment?
He continued: “The combination of these three transformations reveals a greater truth, which is that technology does not only change systems, but also amplifies deep human challenges. Here a new concept emerges that we call national cognitive capabilities, that is, the ability of nations to build focused, interconnected minds capable of thinking, creativity, and joint action.”
