A balance of quality and conformity signs a government quality assurance agreement with South Korea
DUBAI, 18th November, 2018 (WAM) – Tawazun Quality and Conformity, affiliated with the Tawazun Defense Empowerment Council, announced the signing of a government quality assurance agreement with the Defense Technology and Quality Agency of South Korea (DTaQ) during the Dubai Airshow 2025.
Under the agreement, the UAE will become; The 27th country in the world and the third in the Middle East to conclude this important partnership with the Korean agency.
The agreement aims to ensure adherence to the highest quality standards in defense products in line with international standards and global best practices, and it also opens new horizons for cooperation with South Korea in the areas of evaluation, testing and quality.
On this occasion, Dr. Khaled Mohammed Al Kaabi, CEO of Tawazun Quality and Conformity, said that signing the agreement is a strategic achievement that enhances the commitment to excellence and quality in all of the company’s operations. It also contributes to strengthening their international partnership and consolidating their position as a regional center for testing and qualifying defense products.
For his part, Engineer Omar Al Balushi, Executive Director of Program Management, confirmed that the agreement constitutes a qualitative leap for future projects, as it allows benefiting from advanced Korean expertise and technologies in evaluation, testing and quality assurance. He looks forward to continuing work on developing capabilities and ensuring that all products comply with the highest international standards.
It is worth noting that the Korea Technology and Quality Agency, affiliated with the South Korean Ministry of Defense, is one of the most prominent global bodies in applying quality standards for defense products and ensuring their technical excellence.
