The Flower Council honors long-distance swimming champions
The Board of Directors of Al-Zohour Sports Club, headed by Counselor Mohamed Al-Demerdash, honored the long-distance swimming team champions after achieving outstanding results in the Republic Open Water Championship, which was held in Alexandria this month.
The Al-Zohour Open Water Swimming Club champions shined this season in the Republic Championship, where Al-Zohour Club won second place in the general shield of the 2025 Republic Open Water Championship, in addition to many medals and cups in the stages.
The results of the Republic Open Water Championship 2025 were as follows:
General stage:
Al-Zohour Club won the second place cup for men, and swimmer Sharif Reda won The bronze medal, and Al-Zohour Club won the second-place cup for females. The Al-Zohour Club team won the third-place cup for juniors, and the Al-Zohour Club team won the second-place cup for girls.
16 and 17 years stage: The Al-Zohour Club team won the first-place cup for juniors, and the swimmer Mazen Mustafa Asfour won the bronze medal, and the Al-Zohour Club won the second-place cup for girls.
And male and female swimmers. The honorees are: 14-15 years old stage: Marwan Akram, Yassin Al-Shazly, Muhammad Hisham, Lama Reda, Sama Wael, Judy Osama,
16-17 years old stage: Mazen Asfour, Adham Shadi, Jasser Khaled, Jannat Safwat, Farida Amr, Sarah Ayman.
18-19 years old stage: Yassin Akram, Ammar Muhammad, Jumana Hamdi, Maryam Ahmed, Menna Abdel Khaleq.
General stage: Sherif Reda, Muhammad Tariq, Amr Ahmed, Khadija Sameh. The Al-Zohour Open Water Swimming Club team is led by a technical staff consisting of: Dr. Iyad Khalil, swimming technical director, Ahmed Seif, general coach, Atef Radwan, general coach, Hossam Abdel Karim, 2010 coach, Youssef Sameh, general coach, and Haitham Abdel Azim, administrator.
A ceremony honoring the champions was held immediately upon their return from the tournament held in Alexandria, in appreciation of the board of directors for the efforts of the swimmers and the technical staff. For the team.
The ceremony was witnessed by MP Ahmed Fathi – Deputy of the Committee on Social Solidarity, Family, and Persons with Disabilities in the House of Representatives.
The honoring was held in the presence of: Counselor Muhammad Al-Demerdash – Club President and Board of Directors members, Engineer Mohamed Abdel Salam, Captain Yasser Hafni, Engineer Mustafa Taalab, Dr. Aya Sharif, Engineer Ali Ismail, Dr. Nashwa Al-Nahhas, in addition to Dr. Rania Hassan – Advisor to the club’s board of directors for the psychological preparation of players.
