Potatoes and tomatoes rise… vegetable prices in Saudi Arabia during October


Vegetable prices varied in Saudi markets during the month of October 2025 compared to the previous month of September, where 14 items witnessed a decline in prices, while the prices of 9 items rose, most notably potatoes and tomatoes, and the price of two items stabilized at their previous levels.

according to the average commodity price bulletin for October 2025 issued by General Authority for Statistics: Local zucchini recorded the largest monthly decline of 11.1%, as the price per kilo fell from 8.3 riyals in September to 7.3 riyals in October. Local cucumbers also witnessed a significant decline of 11%, bringing the price of a kilo to 5.4 riyals in October compared to 6 riyals in the previous month, and the price of local black eggplant decreased by 6.7%, recording 5.2 riyals per kilo compared to 5.6 riyals in September. Local okra recorded a decline of 1.6% to 15.8 riyals per kilo, and the price of green beans decreased by 3.5% to 13.4 riyals per kilo. The price of local round onions also fell by 1.3%, recording 3.8 riyals per kilo in October, while the price of imported round onions fell by 4% to 4.6 riyals.
