Strata Manufacturing, the leading national company specialized in manufacturing aircraft body parts from composite and advanced materials, wholly owned by Mubadala Investment Company, has signed an agreement with Airbus, the world’s leading company in the aviation industry, under which Strata will manufacture winglets for the single-aisle Airbus A320 aircraft, including all production series of this aircraft of various models.
The new contract constitutes a qualitative addition and a distinctive launch for Strata Company, as the A320 winglets for single-aisle aircraft are the first product of its kind manufactured by Strata at the level of these models.
The agreement was signed during the nineteenth edition of the Dubai Airshow, which continues from 17 to 21 November 2025 at Dubai World Central, in the presence of Dr. Bakhit Al Kathiri, CEO of the UAE Investment Sector in Mubadala, the Executive Director of the Strategic Parks Unit of the UAE Investment Sector in Mubadala, the Managing Director of Strata Manufacturing Company Ismail Ali Abdullah, and the Executive Vice President of International Affairs at Airbus Watervan. The agreement was signed by the Acting CEO of Strata Manufacturing, Sarah Abdullah Al Mamari, and Nicola Coombes, Vice President, Airframe Wing Purchasing, from Airbus.
According to the agreement, within the new manufacturing line, Strata will be able to meet an average of 50% of the demand according to Airbus’ requirements, as Airbus’s total future supply is more than 7,000 aircraft, and it is expected that Strata will acquire production lines to manufacture half of these winglets.
The winglets of the A320 single-aisle aircraft will be manufactured at the Strata facility in Al Ain. Within a production line in which the Emiratisation rate is 50% of the Emirati cadres of engineers, supervisors and technicians working within the new production line.

It is noteworthy that the partnership between Strata and Airbus began since the first production contract that was signed in the year 2008, then in 2010 the first piece was delivered, which is the outer surfaces of the wings of the Airbus A330 aircraft.
