The meeting reviews the importance of the museum in promoting National identity and linking generations to the history of the sea, through specialized educational programs, interactive community initiatives, and sustainable cultural events that celebrate the heritage of the Red Sea, and highlight the stories of ports, ships, divers, and coastal environments that shaped the features of the region over time.
The meeting also discusses the role of the museum in supporting community participation and expanding Department of Knowledge related to the architecture of the Red Sea, tales of maritime trade, and traditional ship routes, in addition to the role of specialized museums in reflecting the history of coastal cities, and their contribution to building cultural awareness extending between the past and the present.
This meeting comes within the efforts of the Museum Authority to enhance community communication and document the history of the Red Sea as an integral part of the place’s memory and culture, and in a way that contributes to preserving cultural resources and transferring them to future generations with a scientific methodology and a sustainable vision.
