The participation of Al-Basha’s daughters in the Cairo Festival…is an award in itself

Egyptian artist Zeina confirmed that she feels proud to participate in her film “Banat Al-Basha” in the “Afaq Arab Cinema” competition within the Cairo Film Festival, considering that being in her country’s festival before anything else is the source of her greatest happiness.

She said that participating in the film is a great success and appreciation in itself, even before talking about awards, stressing her constant interest in presenting women’s issues as part of her artistic identity.

She pointed out that the harmony between the work team during filming had a positive impact on the film, pointing out that the difficulty of some emotional scenes became easier thanks to this harmony.

She concluded by expressing her satisfaction with the reactions to her new series, “Rose and Chocolate,” stressing that the character of “Marwa” carried psychological contradictions that gave her a different dramatic experience.
