Defeated by cancer… death takes away a prominent journalist (photo)
Egyptian journalist Mervat Salama died, at the age of 76, after a struggle with liver cancer, in a hospital in the Heliopolis area, in Cairo Governorate.

Salama’s health condition deteriorated significantly over the past months, which required her to be transferred to intensive care. (Arabic)
