The Mohammed bin Rashid International Center for Endowment and Endowment Consultation, affiliated with the Endowment Foundation and Minors’ Fund Management in Dubai, launched the new phase of the “Bread for the Way” initiative, which expands its scope to provide hot meals to the workers category through innovative smart devices that operate around the clock, and provides the service in a civilized manner that enhances social solidarity and sustainable charitable work.

The new phase of the “Bread for the Way” initiative comes with a forward-looking vision that reflects the Foundation’s keenness to develop qualitative and sustainable solutions that enhance the charitable work system and meet the needs of society in more innovative and effective ways.

The new devices for the “Bread of the Way” initiative feature a modern and advanced design equipped with an easy-to-use digital screen, a cooling system that keeps the food fresh, in addition to smart indicators to monitor the device’s status, fullness level, and maintenance. A smart ID system has also been adopted for beneficiaries, allowing them to obtain one meal per day, ensuring equitable distribution and benefiting the largest possible number of needy individuals.

The devices were installed next to a number of mosques in Dubai, with a plan to gradually expand the scope of the initiative by installing more devices during the next phase to cover additional areas according to the needs of the beneficiary groups.

Ali Al-Mutawa, Secretary-General of the Endowments and Minors’ Funds Management Foundation, stressed that the “Bread for the Way” initiative embodies Dubai’s humanitarian mission in caring for low-income groups and promoting the principle of innovative endowments based on achieving public benefit through modern means.
Al-Mutawa said, “At the Foundation, we seek to develop endowment work tools through smart and sustainable solutions that ensure that support reaches those who deserve it with dignity and ease, which reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in consolidating the values of goodness and giving in society.”

Al-Mutawa added that the new phase of the Bake the Way initiative comes to continue the process of giving in a more advanced and sustainable manner, with a focus on expanding the base of beneficiaries and enhancing the spirit of social responsibility in Dubai.

Al-Mutawa stated that the initiative provides the opportunity for individuals, companies, and philanthropists to contribute to its support through donating, sponsoring equipment, or participating in providing meals, in order to enhance the values of solidarity and giving and to consolidate the role of the endowment in achieving sustainable human development in Dubai.

For her part, Zainab Juma Al Tamimi, Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Center for Endowment and Endowment Consultations, explained that the launch of the new season comes after the remarkable success achieved by the initiative in its first year in 2022, as it contributed to distributing thousands of hot bread daily through safe and easy-to-use devices that were distributed in “markets.”

Al-Tamimi added: The “Bread of the Way” initiative witnessed the development of the technology used in the devices to become more intelligent and sustainable, with the possibility of remote monitoring and control to ensure efficient operation and continuity of service without interruption, as well as the distribution of various meals to eligible groups.

The “Bread for the Way” initiative was launched in 2022 with the aim of creating a modern endowment model to provide food to working groups in a way that preserves their dignity, through smart devices to distribute bread and hot meals in market centers, and it witnessed widespread interaction from donors and community members.
