The Yemeni ambassador praises the UAE’s billion-dollar support for the electricity sector

The Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to the country, Fahd Saeed Al-Menhali, expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the UAE for its announcement of providing strategic support to the electricity sector in Yemen worth one billion dollars, during the opening of the First National Energy Conference.

He stressed in his statement that this generous support comes under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, to reflect the UAE’s consistent approach in supporting the Yemeni people and promoting the path of development and stability in Yemen, especially in the vital sectors related to basic services and livelihood for citizens.

Ambassador Al-Menhali explained that this initiative represents an important step in enabling the Yemeni government to improve the electricity system and implement strategic projects that will contribute to providing a stable and sustainable service, noting that the UAE support expresses the depth of the fraternal and historical relations that bring together the two brotherly countries.

He appreciated the noble positions shown by the UAE to support reconstruction efforts, normalize life, and improve services in Aden and the liberated governorates, stressing that the government of the Republic of Yemen highly appreciates this initiative, which comes as an extension of the UAE’s positions in support of Yemen and its people in various circumstances.
