Syria – The United Nations condemns the Israeli incursion into the Damascus countryside

The Israeli attack and the accompanying raids resulted in civilian casualties, according to reports, while dozens of families were forced to flee from the town of Beit Jinn and flee to neighboring areas in search of safety.

In her statement today, Friday, the Deputy Special Envoy, Ms. Najat Rushdi, reaffirmed the United Nations’ firm commitment to Syria’s sovereignty, unity, independence, and territorial integrity. It called for an immediate cessation of all such violations, and for full compliance with the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
