Al-Ittihad Society for Human Rights: Martyr’s Day is an embodiment of national loyalty and a commemoration of the sacrifices of the people of the Emirates

Abu Dhabi, 30 November / WAM / The Board of Directors of the Union Society for Human Rights confirmed that “Martyr’s Day”, which the UAE commemorates on November 30 of each year, represents a solid national milestone that embodies the highest meanings of loyalty and reverence for the sacrifices of the people of the nation who gave their lives in defense of the dignity, security and stability of the Emirates.

The Council stated that commemorating the heroism of the martyrs is a sincere expression of the unity of the people and their loyalty to their leadership, and the consolidation of the values ​​of altruism, which constitute an inherent pillar of the Emirati identity and the state’s approach since its founding.

The Council explained that designating this day by decree from the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, embodies a national will to commemorate the heroism of the martyrs and preserve their glorious legacy in the memory of generations, noting that the efforts made by the state on this occasion express the depth of cohesion between the leadership and the people, as institutions and society unite in commemorating those who watered the soil of the nation with their pure blood.

The Council noted that the wise leadership, represented by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council of the Federation and Rulers of the Emirates, has made caring for the families of martyrs a top national priority, which is translated into qualitative initiatives implemented by the Office of Martyrs’ Families Affairs in the Presidential Office. These initiatives provide an integrated system that includes housing and family stability programs, qualitative education for the children of martyrs, integrated health care, social support and life skills development, which reflects the UAE’s vision of making loyalty to the blood of the martyrs an ongoing institutional work that immortalizes their glorious legacy.

The Council praised the national programs that aim to support the families of the martyrs and empower their children cognitively and professionally, such as the “Future Journey,” “Steps,” “Communication,” “Expressions of Pride,” “A Message of Pride and Pride,” “Sons of Pride Camps,” “The UAE is proud of you,” and other programs that establish the values ​​of loyalty and giving and immortalize the lives of heroes.

The Board of Directors affirmed that Martyr’s Day carries the meanings of national pride created by the people of the Emirates through their heroism, and that the nation’s martyrs did not only protect its borders, but rather established, with their pure blood, a consistent approach to preserving human dignity and protecting the state’s security and stability.

The Council added that the sacrifices of the martyrs will remain a beacon for generations to guide, and a national responsibility that requires working sincerely to preserve the Union’s gains, and to follow the leadership approach in building a stronger and more solid future.

The Council noted that the international achievements achieved by the UAE today in the fields of humanitarian and human rights work and world peace reflect the values ​​carried by the martyrs in their heroic stances, and consolidate the Emirati role in supporting the oppressed, relieving the needy, and defending human dignity.

The Board of Directors of the Union Society for Human Rights concluded its statement by emphasizing that Martyr’s Day is not just an annual occasion, but rather a pledge renewed with every anniversary that the Emirates will remain loyal to its righteous sons, and that their sacrifices will continue to be immortalized, generation after generation, so that the Emirates will remain proud of the determination of its leadership, the unity of its people, and the legacy of its martyrs.
