Russia and China discuss issues of international security and military cooperation

The press office of the Russian Security Council reported that the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergei Shoigu, and the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, will hold Russian-Chinese consultations on strategic security in Moscow, tomorrow, Tuesday.
The press office of the Russian Security Council explained – in a statement reported by the Sputnik news agency: Russian – Today, Monday, Russian-Chinese consultations on strategic security issues are scheduled to be held in Moscow on December 2, 2025.
The statement added: “The Russian delegation will be headed by the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergei Shoigu, while the Chinese delegation will be headed by a member of the Politburo, Director of the General Office of the Central Committee for Foreign Affairs of the Communist Party of China, and the Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wang Yi.”
The statement continued: “The two sides will discuss current issues related to international and regional security, the situation in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as cooperation in the military and military-technical fields, and coordination between law enforcement and special services.”
Later in the day, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, will meet his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, tomorrow.
Earlier, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning said during a press conference that the Chinese Foreign Minister will visit Russia on December 1st and 2nd.
