“For the Emirates”… a community running race with prizes amounting to 99 thousand dirhams

The Tadawi Healthcare Group in Dubai, in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council, is organizing the “Tadawi” running race under the slogan “We are all for the Emirates”, on Saturday, May 2, 2026 in the Jumeirah area, with the aim of enhancing awareness of preventive care, encouraging physical activity, and consolidating the culture of community sports.
The Dubai Sports Council said in a statement today, Monday, that the race, in its first edition, aims to attract more than 2,000 competitors to compete in the 5 and 10 kilometer categories, and the organizing committee has opened registration for citizens and residents of all ages through the “Premier Online” platform, while allocating valuable financial prizes for the first place winners, totaling 99 thousand dirhams.
The statement added that the race village will open its doors to participants to collect bags at 5:00 am, with the starting signal for the 5 and 10 km races being given at 6:00 am, and the race route will witness a partial road closure lasting until 8:30 am, with dedicated follow-up vehicles provided to transport participants who were unable to reach the starting point coinciding with the start of the traffic closures.
The event witnesses the participation of more than 150 volunteers and medical staff to support the competitors, in addition to providing stations for health checks, including measuring the body mass index and blood pressure, and stations designated for hydration and recovery. The event route also includes a family entertainment area, and witnesses the remarkable participation of teams representing a number of companies, amid extensive media coverage that culminates in an official awards ceremony.
In this context, Director of the Sports Events Department at the Dubai Sports Council, Issa Sharif, said: “Organizing the Tadawi Running Race 2026 is part of the Council’s efforts to promote community sports and expand the base of its practice among various segments of society, through lively events that combine physical activity and health awareness messages. This race represents a qualitative addition to the calendar of sports events in Dubai, as it provides an ideal opportunity to participate in an organized event that consolidates the culture of sports as a way of life.”
For his part, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Tadawi Healthcare Group in Dubai, Marwan Ibrahim Haji Al Nasser, said: “The race is held under the slogan (We are all for the Emirates), as an expression of the depth of belonging to the nation, and an embodiment of the values of community cohesion that characterize our country.
