Golan Heights – grave international concern over the continued violations of the Disengagement Agreement and the presence of the Israeli army

United Nations spokesman Stephane Dujarric said – in the daily press conference – that residents of the Bravo side, which is the eastern side of the Golan, continue their protest in front of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) against the presence of the Israeli army and its actions there.

He explained that the UN force continues to engage with the Israeli army to address these concerns. The force also maintains regular contact with local leaders in the area.

The United Nations called on the parties to fulfill their obligations under the agreement, including ending all forms of unauthorized presence in the separation and arms control zones. She stressed the need for there not to be any forces or military activities in the separation zone other than UNDOF forces.

The United Nations affirmed its commitment to Syria’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
