London Book Fair.. The Kingdom strengthens its position in the international cultural scene

The Authority’s CEO, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Wasil said that the Authority seeks, through participation in the London Book Fair, to introduce Saudi literary and knowledge production, highlight the development of the sectors of literature, publishing and translation in the Kingdom, and raise the level of awareness of the Saudi cultural scene as a renewed and diverse scene that reflects the richness of the Kingdom’s cultural identity.

Saudi Publishers in International Forums

Al-Wasil explained that the Authority is working through this participation to enhance the presence of Saudi publishers in international forums, And introducing its programs and initiatives in the fields of literature, publishing, and translation.
In addition to building professional and knowledge partnerships with actors in the book and publishing industry globally, which contributes to expanding opportunities for cooperation and knowledge exchange.

Al-Wasel pointed out that the London Book Fair is an important international platform for professional communication and exchange of experiences in the fields of publishing, translation rights, and content creation, which supports the Kingdom’s presence on the global literary scene, and enhances the opportunities for Saudi content to reach new markets.

The Kingdom’s participation in the exhibition reflects the integration of national efforts in the cultural and knowledge sector, as the Kingdom’s pavilion includes a number of entities, namely: the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Noble Qur’an, the King Abdulaziz House, the King Fahd National Library, the King Abdulaziz Public Library, the King Salman International Academy for the Arabic Language, Prince Muhammad bin Fahd University, and the Nasher Publishing and Distribution Company, under the leadership of the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority.
