The “Industry” issues 45 new mining licenses during October 2025
The Ministry issued The new mining licenses included (29) exploration licences, (9) reconnaissance licences, (6) building materials quarry licences, and one mining and small mine exploitation licence; According to the report of the Ministry’s National Center for Industrial and Mining Information on mining indicators for the month of October 2025.
It stated that the total number of mining licenses valid in the sector until the end of October amounted to (2,580) licenses, topped by licenses for building materials quarries with (1,528) licenses, followed by inspection licenses with (729) licenses, then licenses for "Mining and small mine exploitation" With (253) licences, reconnaissance licenses with (58) licences, then come surplus mineral ore licenses with (12) licences.
Al-Jarrah pointed out that The Mining Investment System and its executive regulations specify (6) types of mining licenses, including a reconnaissance license, which covers all types of minerals for a period of two years and can be extended, a detection license for all types of minerals for a period of (5) years for minerals of categories (A) and (B), a license for mineral category (C) for a period of one year, and a license for general purposes linked to a mining or small mine license.
