Egypt wins the best Arab governor and the best Asmarat project for community development in the League of Arab States

Egypt won 5 awards during the Arab Government Excellence Award distribution ceremony in its fourth session, which is now held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the League and the Secretary-General of the Board of Trustees of the Award, which is sponsored by the government of the United Arab Emirates.

 

Egypt won the Best Arab Governor Award, and the Governor of Cairo, Dr. Ibrahim Saber, won it. It also won the Best Infrastructure Project Award. Informatics for vaccinations, and the Egyptian Ministry of Health won.

The Asmarat Project won the Best Community Development Project award, and Egypt also won the Best Arab Employee Award, which was won by Dr. Lamia Mustafa from the Holding Company for Potable Water and Sanitation in Alexandria.

The South Toshka Development Project also won the Best Arab Initiative for Infrastructure Development, and the Ministry of Financial Resources and Irrigation won.  Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, was also honored, and the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo hosted this afternoon, Thursday, December 4, a ceremony honoring the winners of the Arab Government Excellence Award “fourth session 2025”, which was held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The award, which was launched by the UAE government in 2019 in partnership with the League of Arab States, comes within A strategic vision aimed at creating a qualitative shift in the process of administrative development and consolidating the concepts of institutional excellence in Arab governments, as well as motivating government leaders and celebrating successful experiences and inspiring practices in the field of government administration.

 

The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and the Chairman of the Award’s Board of Trustees, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Gergawi, participated in the ceremony, along with members of the Board of Trustees and representatives of a number of Arab governments.
