The General Assembly adopts 5 resolutions in favor of Palestine by an overwhelming majority

The United Nations General Assembly adopted, today, Friday, by an overwhelming majority, 5 resolutions related to the Palestinian issue. The resolution on providing assistance to Palestine refugees received the support of 151 countries, against 10 objections and 14 abstentions.
While the second resolution on the operations of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees “UNRWA”, which includes extending its mandate for three years, received a majority of 145 countries, 10 opposed, and 18 countries abstained.
The third resolution on the property of Palestine refugees and the revenues coming from it received the support of 157 countries, 10 countries objected, and 9 abstentions.
The fourth resolution, on the work of the Special Committee concerned with investigating Israeli practices that affect the human rights of the Palestinian people and other Arab residents in the occupied territories, received the support of 88 countries, 19 countries objected, and abstention. 64 countries abstained from voting.
While the fifth resolution regarding Israeli colonies in the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem and the occupied Syrian Golan, received the support of 146 countries, 13 countries objected, and 17 countries abstained from voting.
According to " “Together,” the Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, Minister Riyad Mansour, thanked the countries for this great support, and the growing sympathy of the international community, especially the issue of Palestinian refugees, which comes in the midst of the barbaric Israeli aggression against our people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
