Kuwait.. Amiri decree withdrawing citizenship from Tariq Al-Suwaidan

Today, Sunday, the Kuwaiti authorities announced the withdrawal of citizenship from Tariq Al-Suwaidan. The announcement came by an Amiri decree withdrawing citizenship, and was published in the Official Gazette of Kuwait. It was decree No. 227 of 2025, and included two articles. The first states: “Kuwaiti citizenship will be withdrawn from Tariq Muhammad Al-Saleh Al-Suwaidan, and from those who may have acquired it through dependency.”

The second article of the decision stipulates: “The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior shall implement this decree, and it shall be effective from the date of its issuance, and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
