Ajman Businesswomen Council…20 years of achievements

Ajman, December 7 / WAM / Since its establishment in 2005, the Ajman Businesswomen Council has formed a pioneering and sustainable platform concerned with empowering women and enhancing their presence and role as an active element in the development of the emirate and advancing the local economy.

The Council has achieved many achievements. Since its inception, it has organized more than 700 local and Gulf events, including exhibitions, conferences, workshops and seminars. It has also signed more than 300 strategic cooperation and partnership agreements, while the number of its local and foreign participations has exceeded 1,200.

In this context, Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, member of the Board of Directors of the Ajman Chamber and President of the Council, said that the Ajman Businesswomen Council is keen to diversify and enhance its participation in Gulf exhibitions and events, according to a clear strategic vision under the supervision and coordination of the Ajman Chamber, which is based on empowering women and enhancing their role in the entrepreneurship sector by providing an incubator environment that supports women entrepreneurs and gives them the necessary tools and skills to confidently launch various economic activities.

She pointed out that the Council’s efforts included expanding the scope of training and advisory programs, and providing platforms for communication between women entrepreneurs and government and private agencies, which provided female members with greater opportunities for growth and expansion.

She touched on the council’s most prominent current initiatives, such as the Ryoqi initiative, the shelves, plant and reap, my car, the sports platform, and the business clinic, pointing out that the council is keen to enhance its participation in the field of social entrepreneurship, including the “Noon Giving Entrepreneurial Forum,” which highlights entrepreneurial projects that have a positive impact on society, and supports those with innovative ideas.

She stressed that the initiatives of the Ajman Businesswomen Council during the current year were in line with the goals of the Year of Society 2025, by working to strengthen community cohesion and supporting productive groups of society, while the Council is working to align its efforts with the goals of the “Year of the Family 2026” by enhancing the role of women in supporting the family economy, and enabling them to contribute to achieving sustainable development that benefits the family and society.

She explained that the Council is preparing to launch an integrated program in 2026 that aims to create the elements that support women in the fields of industry by providing specialized training, advisory services, and paths that enable female entrepreneurs to enter this vital sector with confidence and exceptional competitive capabilities.

She said that the Council seeks to build new partnerships with government and private agencies that contribute to providing a more supportive environment for industrial empowerment plans, expanding the scope of benefiting from available resources and programs, and enabling women business owners to access solutions and facilities that help them develop their industrial projects and achieve sustainable growth in this vital sector.

She added that the Council pays attention to developing sustainability and competitiveness through training in digital skills and innovation, which contributes to raising the efficiency of female entrepreneurs and enabling them to expand in local and global markets. The Council also supports self-employment and home projects through the “Bedayat” license.
