Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed witnesses the activities of the closing day of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Grand Prix

His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, witnessed part of the activities of the closing day of the seventeenth edition of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Grand Prix, which is hosted by the Yas Marina Circuit on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed confirmed that Abu Dhabi’s hosting of this event for the seventeenth year reflects the advanced position that Abu Dhabi has reached in the field of organizing major sporting events, which contributes to supporting the tourism and entertainment sectors, and enhancing the emirate’s presence on the international sports scene.

His Highness praised the level of organization witnessed by the closing race of the Formula 1 World Championship season hosted by Abu Dhabi, which has become a global station that brings together elite drivers, teams and fans from all over the world. His Highness stressed that this level reflects the competence of national cadres and the strength of partnerships with major international bodies in the motorsport industry, and consolidates the emirate’s position as a leading global destination for sports, tourism and entertainment events.
