"Abu Dhabi Arabic Language" Participates in a forum in Moscow


Moscow, 9 December / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center participated in the Second International Scientific and Practical Forum, which was held in the Russian capital, Moscow, organized by the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Educational Center and the Primakov Regional School, under the title “Teaching the Arabic Language in the Modern World: Traditions and Innovations”, attended by about 50 Russian-speaking experts and 15 Arabic speakers.
The forum, which adopts the Arabic and Russian languages, sought to modernize the experience of teaching the Arabic language, which combines traditions with the latest educational technologies, targeting scholars specialized in the field of the Arabic language, teachers whose professional activities are related to the study and teaching of the Arabic language, and students who study it.
He also reviewed topics related to artificial intelligence, linguistic models in teaching the Arabic language, Arabic dialects in Russian education, and access to modern methods and technologies for teaching, controlling and evaluating the quality of teaching classical Arabic, and modern methods of teaching it in higher education.
His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Tamim, President of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, said: “The importance of the forum stems from its consolidation of cultural cooperation between the UAE and the Russian Federation, and the promotion of exchange between Arab and Russian cultures, especially with the presence of the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Educational Centre, which was established as a unique scientific edifice in Russia, a year ago to open broad horizons for developing Arabic language education, along with history, culture, arts and sciences.”
His Excellency added: “Primakov International School has been betting since its first years on building the creative mind and developing the imagination, while empowering its students with modern knowledge tools, and providing scholarships for gifted people from about 50 Russian regions, which intersects with the goals of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center and its efforts in the field of promoting the Arabic language, disseminating its cultural and cognitive heritage, supporting creative talents, refining their skills, and providing research grants and translation grants to motivate them towards creativity, science and knowledge.”
His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Tamim was the guest of honor at the first main symposium at the forum, which was titled “Centers and Trends of Russian Arabization: A Balance between Tradition and Innovation,” along with an elite group of specialists and experts.
His Excellency delivered a speech in which he praised the cultural relations between the UAE and the Russian Federation, and academic cooperation with Russian universities, through the great scientific edifice represented by the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Educational Centre.
His Excellency referred to the projects of the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, in supporting researchers and scientific research in the Arabic language, most notably the Sheikh Zayed Book Award, which honors every year through 10 branches a group of thinkers, academics, pioneering creators and young people, and also provides grants in the field of studies of curricula for teaching the Arabic language, which examines the reality of teaching the Arabic language and Arabic literature in school education.
His Excellency’s speech addressed the importance of “The Center” magazine, which is issued by the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, in cooperation with Brill International Publishing House, and its contribution to building bridges between Arab researchers and others.
