"One of the most painful scenes in the series"..a surprise in the movie Toy Story 5
Revealing the international star Tom Hanks, the voice actor for Woody, said that the movie Toy Story 5 will include one of the most influential and sad scenes in the history of the series spanning three decades.
During his conversation with The Hollywood Reporter magazine, he explained that the Pixar studio, known for its ability to provide emotional moments that touch the feelings of viewers, succeeded this time in presenting a scene that he described as one of the most painful moments in the entire series.
He pointed out that the scene revolves around a young girl who begins to feel sad and hurt because of the letters and comments that are written. About her, without realizing the reason for it or the mistake she committed, which makes the experience very painful and poignant.
A deep human dimension
Hanks said that this idea reflects a contemporary issue that directly affects children, stressing that addressing such a topic within a movie that revolves around toys and children gives it a deep human dimension.
Although the series was previously famous for a number of touching scenes, especially in Toy Story 3, which included unforgettable farewell moments, in addition to the scene Famous in the first movie, when Buzz Fly discovers the truth that he is just a toy, Hanks believes that the fifth part may emotionally surpass all previous parts.
The film is expected to once again bring together the characters of Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the rest of Bonnie’s toys in a new adventure, and will be released in theaters on June 19, 2026.
