Dubai International Chamber opens a representative office in Karachi

Dubai International Chamber, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, has opened a new representative office in the Pakistani city of Karachi, with the aim of strengthening trade and investment relations between Dubai and Pakistan.
The opening of the Dubai International Chamber office in Karachi comes within the framework of the “Dubai Global” initiative, which aims to launch 50 representative offices of the Chamber around the world by 2030, in order to contribute to consolidating Dubai’s position as a leading global business center by attracting foreign direct investments and supporting the international expansion of local companies in 30 priority markets in the world.
A statement issued yesterday stated that the office was opened during a ceremony held in Karachi in the presence of the UAE Consul General in Karachi, Dr. Bakhit Ateeq Al Rumaithi.
The opening of the office comes at a time when the relationship between Dubai and Pakistan is witnessing significant growth, as the value of Dubai’s non-oil trade with Pakistan reached 22.8 billion dirhams in the year 2024, and from the beginning of January 2022 until the end of September 2025, the number of active Pakistani companies registered as members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce increased by 161% to reach 33,110 companies, while the first nine months of 2025 witnessed the joining of 6,850 Pakistani companies. New to the Chamber’s membership, the new representative office will play a vital role in supporting companies in both Dubai and Pakistan, and work closely with the Pakistani business community, to strengthen relations with key stakeholders in the public and private sectors, as well as promoting Dubai’s competitive advantages as a global business destination. The office will also provide valuable information about the Dubai market to support Pakistani companies seeking to establish their presence in the emirate, and expand from it to global markets.
The office will support Dubai-based companies to expand into Pakistan, including providing them with valuable insights into the Pakistani market, helping them identify potential business and investment opportunities, and linking these companies with trusted local partners to facilitate their entry into this market.
Director General of Dubai Chambers, Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, said: “The opening of the Dubai International Chamber office in Karachi represents a vital step that reflects our firm commitment to strengthening economic partnerships between Dubai and Pakistan, and expanding the horizons of bilateral cooperation between business communities. It comes within the framework of our vision to build new paths that support the flow of trade and investment, contribute to creating qualitative opportunities for joint growth, and enhance the ability of Pakistani companies to benefit from the promising growth opportunities that Dubai abounds with.”
