May God protect Palestine and restore its historic buildings and villages to the life they deserve

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” congratulated Dr. Souad Al Ameri from Palestine, founder of the Popular Architecture Center “Rawaq,” on winning the Arab Geniuses Award in the Architecture and Design category for the year 2025.

His Highness added: “It made pioneering contributions to preserving the Palestinian architectural heritage, restoring historical buildings and repurposing them in a way that enhances urban identity. It also participated in an architectural documentation project that is considered one of the largest in Palestine, which resulted in a record of more than 50,000 historical buildings, and the revival of 50 historical centers. It involved families and craftsmen in its projects in restoring villages, through the use of traditional materials in construction.”

His Highness continued: “We congratulate Dr. Souad Al-Amiri for her victory and her decades-long giving… May God protect Palestine and restore its historic buildings and villages to the life they deserve, and to its heritage as an extension that remains as long as Arab memory remains.”
