Syria arrests 5 people suspected of the Palmyra attack

The Syrian Ministry of Interior said on Sunday that it had arrested five people suspected of being linked to the shooting of American and Syrian forces in the city of Palmyra in central Syria yesterday.

The Ministry confirmed in a statement after the attack that “targeting state institutions will not go unanswered, and that the security services possess full readiness and high capacity to strike with an iron hand anyone who threatens the country’s security and stability, and to pursue terrorist organizations wherever they are found.”
