"Ghamran camp" It achieves remarkable success in its first week

Dubai, December 15 / WAM / “Ghamran Camp”, whose activities began on December 12 in the Dubai desert, and whose activities continue under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, witnessed wide community participation and remarkable interaction from the participating families, as fathers and children lived over the course of three days a real camping experience in the heart of the desert, during which they learned the skills of Bedouin life. They delved deeper into understanding the authentic Emirati heritage.
In its first week, the camp presented a diverse program that included a series of events and activities aimed at strengthening family ties and reviving authentic Emirati skills in the hearts of new generations, through specialized workshops on setting up tents, learning Emirati dance etiquette, and reciting poetry, in addition to training child participants in the skills of falconry, archery, and camel riding.
The organization of “Ghamran Camp” comes within the framework of supporting the goals of the “Year of Community” and Dubai Community Agenda 33, which aim to build a more cohesive and cohesive society, through specific initiatives that enhance the role of the family, consolidate authentic Emirati values, and contribute to transferring the cultural heritage to new generations through learning by doing and direct living.
His Excellency Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmouk, CEO of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center, said: “We are pleased with the remarkable success of the first group of Ghumran camp. His Excellency continued: “The success of the camp would not have been achieved without the support of the leadership and its clear vision in preserving the national heritage and presenting it to generations in a manner that combines authenticity and direct experience. We at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Revival Center work in accordance with this vision, and we are proud that Ghumran camp has become an educational platform that gains our children new knowledge, develops their personality, and revives values planted by our ancestors and which today have become the basis for building a cohesive national identity.”
Participants in the events expressed their happiness with the experience they lived, stressing that Ghamran represented an exceptional opportunity to live in an authentic heritage atmosphere, which brought to mind the simplicity of life in the desert and contributed to strengthening family ties between generations.
They added that the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to sponsor such initiatives reflect His Highness’s keenness to strengthen the family and community fabric by returning to roots and authentic values.
The participants also praised the events and activities that provided their children with an ideal opportunity to rediscover the Emirati heritage in a practical, interactive way, expressing their gratitude for this unique initiative that embodies the leadership’s keenness to connect generations with their ancient past and build their future on solid foundations of identity and belonging.
The camp, which is organized under the supervision of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Center for the Revival of Heritage, added another educational dimension through agricultural and awareness sessions, which included palm crafts, the uses of the Ghaf tree, and irrigation of crops, in addition to star gazing activities and identifying the tracks of wild animals, as well as group games that strengthened the spirit of teamwork and discipline among the children.
“Ghamran Camp” is preparing to receive a new batch of families during the period from December 26 to 28, to re-experience the experience, as activities aimed at consolidating the Emirati identity and strengthening family ties will continue through educational and interactive activities that simulate the lives of grandparents.
