The Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa honors Sheikha Fatima in appreciation of her continued support for family issues

The Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa honored Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates,” President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, in appreciation of her generous sponsorship of the Council’s annual global conference entitled “The Family in the Context of Jurisprudence of Reality” and her continued support for family issues and empowerment, and strengthening its position as the basic pillar of society.

The shield of honor was presented by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, during the opening session of the conference, where the Minister of State, Dr. Maitha bint Salem Al Shamsi, received the shield of honor on behalf of Her Highness, in the presence of a group of elite officials and representatives of national and international bodies.

This honor reflects the high status that Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak enjoys in the process of national and humanitarian work, and our recognition of Her Highness’s pioneering role in supporting family, women and childhood issues, and establishing an integrated system that enhances family stability and community cohesion, and contributes to building the Emirati human being according to a solid national humanitarian vision.

The Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa confirmed that “Mother of the Nation’s” sponsorship of the conference represents an extension of its consistent approach and forward-looking vision in empowering the family and supporting scientific initiatives that address its issues in the context of contemporary transformations, in line with the national vision aimed at enhancing the quality of life, preserving national identity, and consolidating authentic societal values.
