The UAE intensifies its humanitarian efforts in Gaza as the winter storm intensifies

Operation Gallant Knight 3 continues to implement its urgent humanitarian interventions in the Gaza Strip, in response to the crisis caused by the severe weather depression and extreme cold, which exacerbates the suffering of displaced families. Field teams rushed to provide relief in light of the harsh conditions that residents are experiencing.

With heavy rain, many streets flooded, and water leaking into the damaged tents, the UAE operation activated its mechanisms to withdraw water, which had been previously sent as part of the emergency plan to confront the difficult climate conditions and facilitate the movement of residents in the flooded areas.

During the low weather period, the operation distributed 1,189 shelter tents and 4,280 winter jackets, in addition to 538 relief bags containing basic supplies for the displaced, in addition to 5,012 winter clothing parcels and 1,403 winter blankets, as part of the UAE’s continued support for the residents of the Gaza Strip.

These efforts come within Operation Gallant Knight (3), which has been providing humanitarian and relief aid to the people of Gaza for more than two years, confirming the UAE’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and alleviating their suffering in light of the continuing challenges.
