UAE Harvest 2025/ Proactive strategies and qualitative initiatives that look to the future

Abu Dhabi, 19 December / WAM / During the year 2025, the UAE has kept pace with the acceleration of transformations that the world is witnessing with a wide range of ambitious initiatives and strategies, which consolidate its presence and leadership in innovation and shaping the future, and ensure its steady progress on the path of sustainable development.

This year witnessed the launch of a set of proactive programs and policies that draw a clear roadmap for government work in the long term and enhance the country’s leadership in the global competitiveness race.

The UAE began this year by launching the new phase of the National Strategy to Attract and Retain Talent in the State 2031, and adopted the National Strategy for Cybersecurity, which aims to provide a safe, secure and flexible digital environment. It also adopted the “Digital Application Interfaces Policy”, which includes the requirements and procedures that must be followed by ministries and federal entities in their technical systems and applications in order to ensure their rapid interconnection and integration with other systems.

The Council of Ministers approved the establishment of the Emirates Integration Council, with the aim of working to harmonize and integrate the policies, strategies and programs of the country’s logistics performance sector and develop the logistics infrastructure. The Council also approved the launch of the National Green Certification Program in buildings.

The UAE launched the second phase of the program for zeroing out bureaucracy in the UAE government, which aims to create government services that are simpler, faster, and more effective. It also announced the launch of the proactive government performance system, which aims to support and develop government work, raise the level of services, and achieve the strategic directions of the “We are the Emirates 2031” vision and transform them into measurable and implementable results.

The UAE announced the “Volunteering and Community Participation System,” which includes a comprehensive strategy for national volunteering to bring the volunteer base to 600,000 volunteers, launching an integrated platform for them, and supporting the third sector and public benefit institutions to increase by 30% during the coming period through a unified portal for their services.

As part of the annual meetings of the UAE government 2025, the UAE launched the “Emirates Unified Numbers” platform, the comprehensive national platform for data and statistics supported by artificial intelligence, with the aim of providing accurate, real-time and reliable data that supports decision-making and enhances the country’s readiness for future changes. It also launched the “National Family Growth Agenda 2031”, which seeks to achieve a set of results by 2031, most notably increasing the number of Emirati births, raising marriage rates among citizens, and reducing the average age at marriage.

The UAE revealed the “National Identity Strategy”, whose vision revolves around strengthening a solid Emirati identity that society adopts as a way to achieve stability and prosperity, and which reflects the leadership’s vision of making the Emirati identity a main focus in various sectors, and consolidating its presence in the daily behaviors and practices of society.

In support of a more secure future, the UAE announced the adoption of the National Encryption Policy and the issuance of its executive regulations, which call on government agencies to prepare clear and approved plans to move from traditional encryption to post-quantum encryption, in support of a more secure technical future and in preparation for the accelerated transformations in the field of quantum computing.
