The Voice star was arrested…and the reason?

Media reports revealed that the star of one of the previous seasons of “The Voice” had been arrested on an arrest warrant on charges of manslaughter resulting from a traffic accident.

Goodlettsville, Tennessee, police reported to the website TMZ There is an arrest warrant issued against Kata Hai, from Davidson County in the US state of Tennessee, and authorities in Oklahoma arrested her at dawn last Wednesday.

The Osage County Sheriff’s Office in Oklahoma reported that one of its deputies arrested her at her home in the county based on the arrest warrant issued by Tennessee.

Kata Hai is currently being held at the Osage County Jail in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, and will be required to appear before a District Court judge next Monday to sign a waiver waiving her right to appeal.

According to electronic records, Kata – whose real name is Kata Huddleston – has an open drunk driving case – her second – in Davidson County. She was also charged with leaving the scene of a traffic accident that resulted in material damage estimated at more than $1,500, in addition to driving with an open alcoholic beverage in the car. The violation was recorded on December 10 last year.

This is not the first time Kata Hai has broken the law. She spent several months in prison in 2022 after admitting to sexually harassing a 16-year-old boy when she was 35 years old.

Kata Hai is famous for making it to the list of the top 20 contestants on “The Voice” in 2016.
