Dubai Press Club organizes a youth seminar in Kuwait entitled “Media and the Voice of Youth… UAE and Kuwait”

The Dubai Press Club, in cooperation with the Dubai Media Incorporated Youth Council and the Youth Council of the Ministry of Information in the State of Kuwait, organized a panel discussion in the sisterly State of Kuwait, under the title “Media and the Voice of Youth… The Emirates and Kuwait,” within the framework of the Emirati delegation’s visit to the State of Kuwait, in a step that reflects the depth of the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the two countries, and their common keenness to enhance the role of the media in empowering youth and consolidating community awareness.
The session witnessed, in the presence of Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice President and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, President of the Dubai Press Club, and an elite group of young media leaders from the two brotherly countries, the exchange of ideas and discussion with Kuwaiti and Emirati youth… about the role of youth in shaping the future of the media as an essential partner capable of keeping pace with changes and modern media tools, and positively influencing all vital sectors.
Mona Ghanem Al Marri stressed during the session that the relationship between the UAE and the State of Kuwait is not just a political slogan, but rather a relationship rooted deep in history, built on loyalty, sincerity and returning the favor, stressing that the youth form the solid foundation of this sincere fraternal relationship.
She said that today’s young generations enjoy a high level of awareness and openness to the world, and have a deep understanding of how to produce and publish content across social media platforms, stressing at the same time that the youth of the Emirates and Kuwait have demonstrated a real awareness of everything that is happening around them, and their ability to rise above rumours, provocation and distortion tools, which contributes to consolidating the image of the authenticity and values of the two brotherly countries.
In her concluding message, she explained that the greatest challenge facing young people today is not the lack of opportunities, but rather the confusion of ideas, stressing that caring for youth is no longer an option or a luxury, but rather a necessity that represents a dimension of intellectual and cultural security, and stressed that a state that protects the thought of its youth protects its future.
In turn, Abdulaziz Al Jasmi, Chairman of the Dubai Media Incorporated Youth Council, stressed that they, as young people, view the media as a social responsibility first, and therefore they begin creating content and sharing it on social media platforms from the standpoint of protecting community awareness first, and not just creating rapidly spreading content.
Hanan Al-Balushi, the council’s media officer, confirmed that what unites the youth of the Emirates and Kuwait is awareness before language, and values before platforms, and that they are keen to use media platforms to reflect their true identity, and not be drawn into the noise.
In turn, Aisha Al Nuaimi, a member of the Dubai Media Incorporated Youth Council, confirmed that social media has given young people an influential voice, but they are fully aware that the real power is not in the number of followers, but in the sincerity of the message.
During the youth session, Musab Al-Raisi, a member of the Dubai Media Incorporated Youth Council, stressed that the future of Gulf media is written today by young women who think outside the box and believe that the word is trustworthy, pointing to the importance of awards and encouraging young people to be true partners in building the future.
It is worth noting that the visit of the Emirati media delegation to the State of Kuwait comes within the framework of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, to celebrate the established fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and the sisterly State of Kuwait, and under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy. To the Ruler of Dubai, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, as part of a visit organized by the Dubai Press Club, to celebrate the fraternal and historical ties between the two countries, through the “Emirati-Kuwaiti Media Party”, with the participation of more than 100 leaders and media icons in the UAE, and includes an elite group of artists, producers, leaders of Emirati media and journalistic institutions, newspaper editors-in-chief, and a group of writers, journalists, content makers, and influencers. It also includes The event included a group of the most important media and journalistic leaders and the most prominent writers, thinkers and opinion makers in the State of Kuwait.
