The organizing committee of UMEX and SimTEX 2026 discusses organizational and technical preparations

Abu Dhabi, December 20, 2026 – The Organizing Committee of the Unmanned Systems and Simulation and Training Exhibitions, UMEX and SimTEX 2026, stressed the importance of continuing to work according to an integrated approach that ensures coordination of efforts between the various committees and work teams, in a way that contributes to achieving the strategic objectives of the two exhibitions, and consolidates their position as two leading global platforms for displaying the latest innovations and technologies in the fields of unmanned systems, simulation and training, and the civil, commercial, and defense sectors.
During its third meeting at the ADNEC Center in Abu Dhabi, the committee discussed ways to enhance coordination and concerted efforts between the relevant official and semi-official bodies, in addition to emphasizing the importance of integration with the work teams in the ADNEC Group, to ensure the smooth flow of organizational processes, the unification of mechanisms, and the clarity of roles and responsibilities among the bodies involved in organizing these international events.
The ADNEC Group is organizing the UMEX and SimTEX 2026 exhibitions in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and the Tawazun Defense Empowerment Council, in strategic partnership with the EDGE Group and Abu Dhabi Transport, during the period from January 20 to 22, 2026 at the ADNEC Abu Dhabi Center, with wide participation from major local, regional and international companies and institutions specialized in the fields of unmanned systems, simulation, training, civil and commercial technologies, in addition to the advanced defense and security sector.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier General Mohammed Obaid Al Marshoudi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of UMEX and SimTEX 2026, and heads of various committees, subcommittees and work teams. The latest developments related to organizational, logistical and technical procedures were reviewed and discussed, in addition to assessing the level of readiness of all relevant committees, ensuring that the two exhibitions and accompanying conferences are organized in accordance with the highest international standards approved in the sector of organizing specialized international exhibitions and conferences.
This meeting comes within a series of periodic meetings aimed at ensuring advance and accurate planning of the details of the two exhibitions, including the organizational, technical, technical and logistical aspects, in addition to the media and security aspects, with an emphasis on adherence to international best practices and the application of the highest standards of quality and efficiency in all stages of preparation and implementation.
The organizing committee stressed the need to strengthen frameworks for direct and continuous communication with strategic partners, in particular the Tawazun Defense Empowerment Council, in a way that contributes to supporting national defense industries, enhancing the participation of local companies, and enabling them to display their capabilities and innovative solutions on a global platform that brings together an elite group of decision-makers, experts and specialists from around the world.
The participants in the meeting stressed that early and careful planning of the details of the UMEX and SimTEX 2026 exhibitions and the accompanying conferences constitutes an essential foundation for ensuring the success of these events and achieving their goals, reflecting the advanced position that the Emirate of Abu Dhabi occupies as a prestigious global destination in the field of organizing, managing and hosting specialized international exhibitions and conferences.
