Al Ain Municipality: Complete recovery and closure of all weather reports by 100%

Al Ain, December 20 / WAM / The Al Ain City Municipality announced its success in achieving a complete recovery rate of 100%, and closing all reports received during the weather condition that the city witnessed on December 18 and 19, 2025, as field teams were able to deal with high efficiency with 49 various reports that included falling trees, water accumulations, side collapses, and potholes in some roads, without recording any serious impacts on public safety, which reflects the high preparedness and speed of response. To ensure the safety of infrastructure and society.

These field efforts took place under weather conditions that included rain that ranged in intensity from light, medium, and heavy in some areas, accompanied by wind speeds exceeding 40 kilometers per hour.

Immediately after the weather alerts were issued, the municipality took the initiative to activate the approved emergency plan, based on an integrated coordination system between the operation and maintenance teams and the emergency sectors, and in direct partnership with the Abu Dhabi Police General Command and the concerned authorities to ensure speed of action.

The operational plan was also based on a package of proactive measures that included inspecting and cleaning rain drainage holes, distributing pumps and equipment in critical locations, alerting contractors, in addition to the temporary closure of parks and walkways and postponing events to preserve lives.

The municipality confirmed the continuation of field follow-up around the clock to deal with any developments, praising the cooperation of community members and their commitment to instructions, and renewed its call to communicate through official channels to report observations.
