Power outage to thousands of homes in San Francisco

Power was cut off on Saturday night for 130,000 San Francisco residents in the United States, according to what the city’s main electricity company announced..
A Pacific Gas & Electric Company statement posted on the X website said: “We are working with intervention teams and local officials to address a disruption in San Francisco that affected 130,000 people.”.
Local authorities asked residents to stay in their homes, some traffic lights stopped working, and movement on public transportation was disrupted.
Local official Daniel Lowry said in a video posted on the X website: “It will rain, and we are at night. Whoever does not need to go out should stay home.”
He stated that traffic police officers were deployed on the roads to compensate for the absence of traffic lights.
The outage was caused by a fire at a power substation, according to Lowry, who said he was unable to determine when power would be restored.
