“EgyptAir” explains the circumstances of a plane landing on the ring road

A video clip that was widely circulated on social media platforms, of a plane bearing the EgyptAir logo making an emergency landing on the ring road in Cairo, caused a state of panic and controversy among users.

EgyptAir confirmed that there is absolutely no truth to what was circulated on some social media pages and websites regarding the alleged video clip.

The company explained in an official statement that this video is not real, and was implemented using artificial intelligence techniques (AI)And it has nothing to do with reality.

EgyptAir called on the media and social media users to ensure accuracy and objectivity, and not to circulate or publish any unreliable content, with the need to adhere to professional and media standards, and to rely on official sources of information issued by the company before circulating any false information, because of its role in creating confusion among public opinion.

The company stressed that it will take all necessary legal measures against those responsible for producing and publishing this misleading video, as it misleads citizens and spreads incorrect news, in addition to harming the reputation of the national company.
