Ras Al Khaimah.. Adjusting radar control speeds on Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Street

To enhance road security, the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command announced reducing the speed of Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Street E18, which extends from the Applied Technology Schools to Al Kharran Roundabout, to 80 kilometers per hour instead of 100 kilometers per hour. The radar speed will be 101 km/h starting early next month.

His Excellency Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Sam Al-Naqbi – Director General of Central Operations at Ras Al Khaimah Police – explained that this decision comes in line with the leadership’s efforts to achieve the objectives of the Ministry of Interior, which aim to make roads safer, enhance safe transportation and traffic safety across the roads, in addition to reducing traffic accidents, especially since this vital street passes through a populated residential and commercial area, and is frequented by large numbers of cars. It is one of the main streets linking the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah to the other emirates and cities of the country.

Brigadier Al-Naqbi called on drivers to comply with the new speeds on the aforementioned street. To contribute to achieving the desired goals, and to avoid being exposed to a violation and the resulting financial fines, stressing the constant keenness of the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command to give the safety of the public – vehicle drivers and street and road users – the first and most important priority in any decisions taken.
