Two gold awards for"Ports and customs" from "Stevie" Global sustainability and leadership

Dubai, December 26 / WAM / The Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation won two gold awards from the International Stevie Awards in the fields of sustainability and leadership, for the project of the first LNG ship supply operation in Dubai, in addition to one of its national cadres winning the Rising Leader of the Year Award.
The project to supply ships with liquefied natural gas in Dubai won the Golden Stevie Award in the category of Best Sustainable Service in the Middle East and Africa, as it is the first integrated service of its kind in Dubai to supply ships with liquefied natural gas as an alternative low-emission fuel, which contributes to reducing the carbon footprint, improving the efficiency of operational operations, and supporting national and global trends for clean energy and sustainability.
His Excellency Nasser Al Neyadi, CEO of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, said that the project’s winning of the Stevie Gold Award reflects the corporation’s strategic commitment to developing sustainable and innovative maritime solutions that support the transition towards clean energy, and enhance Dubai’s position as an advanced global maritime centre.
He added that this project represents a practical model for translating national visions of sustainability into qualitative initiatives with a long-term impact on the environmental and economic levels. This achievement highlights the pioneering role of the Dubai Maritime Authority, one of the entities affiliated with the Corporation, in leading high-impact maritime initiatives in accordance with international best practices.
In an individual achievement, Noura Abdullah Al Shamsi, Director of the Strategy and Corporate Governance Department of Institutional Support Services at the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, won the Golden Stevie Award for the Rising Leader of the Year category, in recognition of her leadership excellence and influential role in developing institutional performance within the organization’s system.
