The Judo Federation draws a road map for "Los Angeles 2028" He announces the harvest of 30 colored medals

Abu Dhabi, December 26 / WAM / The UAE Judo Federation has placed direct qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games at the top of its strategic priorities for the next stage, in its annual report for the 2024-2025 sports season, which revealed a remarkable harvest for the national teams, amounting to 30 colored medals, distributed by 20 international medals, 9 Asian medals, and a global bronze medal.

Commenting on the achievement, His Excellency Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Darei, President of the Emirates Judo Federation, praised the harvest of continental and international judo in the 2024-2025 season, stressing that work will continue with the same approach and planning in support of the positives that were achieved during the last period with the aim of maintaining the lead of judo at the Arab and international level, looking forward to directly reaching the 2028 Los Angeles Games.

Al-Darai pointed out that the season coincided with the inauguration of the federation’s new headquarters in the Baniyas East area, as part of an integrated plan developed by the federation to provide a suitable and safe environment for practicing sporting activity through the new headquarters, which constitutes an important added value to sports facilities in the country for organizing and hosting sporting events.

The report showed that the number of players participating in various local, continental, and international tournaments reached 2,800 players from various categories last year, distributed between 2,300 males and 500 females, while the competitions were managed by 25 referees and tribunals at various levels, in addition to the participation of 28 coaches.

The list of national teams included 75 male and female players in various categories, and the season witnessed the holding of 24 sporting events, including 10 local and 6 international, along with 8 training courses.
