initiative "Little merchant" Children’s entrepreneurship creativity is highlighted at a festival "Our winter in Hatta"

Dubai, December 26 / WAM / The #Shatana_in_Hatta Festival, held under the umbrella of #Shattana_Hatta and implemented by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Dubai Government Media Office, witnessed the organization of the “Little Trader” initiative in cooperation with the “Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development”, with the aim of instilling the concepts of entrepreneurship in children, and introducing them to the foundations of commercial interaction in an interactive and stimulating educational environment.
The initiative comes within the framework of supporting emerging projects and encouraging the new generation to engage in practical experiences in the business world, by providing children with the opportunity to present their ideas and products to the public, which enhances communication skills, creative thinking, and self-confidence.
The initiative witnessed the participation of four small projects led by children between the ages of 8 and 13 years, which reflected the diversity of interests and creativity. The projects included the “Akoos Latifa” project in the field of photography by the student Latifa Al-Baddawi, the Little Butterflies project specializing in the manufacture of accessories, by the two students Reem and Joud Al-Dahmani, the “Batal Al-Leem” project in the field of stationery, by the student Khalifa Al-Kaabi, in addition to the Creative Art90 project in the fields of fashion and stationery, by the student. Hamid Al Balushi.
Amina Taher, member of the organizing committee of the #Shatana_in_Hatta Festival, confirmed that the “Little Trader” initiative represents one of the qualitative initiatives that the festival is keen to present, and said: “Through the #Shatana_in_Hatta Festival, we are keen to empower children and give them the opportunity to discover their abilities and skills at an early age, and the “Little Trader” initiative comes to provide a practical experience that combines entertainment and learning, and contributes to building early awareness of the culture of entrepreneurship and self-reliance, within a supportive community environment. And motivating.”
She added that this experience gives children a real space to express their ideas, and helps them acquire communication skills and self-confidence, through direct interaction with the audience and displaying their products in an organized framework that simulates a real business environment.
For his part, Ahmed Al Roum Al Muhairi, Acting Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, stressed that the organization’s participation in the initiative comes in line with its strategic directions in supporting the entrepreneurship system and achieving the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33. He said: “The ‘Little Trader’ initiative represents an important practical platform for introducing children to the basics of entrepreneurship, and providing them with the concepts of project management and dealing with the public, which contributes to preparing a conscious generation capable of developing their ideas.” And transform them into sustainable future projects.”
Al Muhairi explained that the initiative reflects Dubai’s vision of investing in people from the early stages, and promoting a culture of innovation and initiative among emerging generations, through practical experiences that contribute to building their skills and enhancing their readiness for the future.
The #Shatana_in_Hatta Festival is one of the most prominent winter events in the Emirate of Dubai. It is held on the banks of Lake Lim amid the picturesque mountainous nature of the Hatta region, and offers an integrated community program that includes cultural and entertainment activities, workshops, and family experiences, thus enhancing Hatta’s position as a winter tourist destination that combines nature, local identity, and community innovation.
