The Undersecretary of the Office of the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region crowns the winners of " Ghayathi for Falcons"

Al Dhafra, December 26 / WAM / His Excellency Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Court of the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, crowned the winners of the Ghayathi Falcons Competition.
The competition was organized by the Abu Dhabi Falconers Club from December 21 to 26, with the support and sponsorship of the Office of the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region. It witnessed competitions in the “Public Open” and “Public Owners” categories, and rounds were held for the categories of chicks and girnas with various types of falcons, for the Shaheen Gair, the Taba’s Gir, the Pure Gir, and the Qarmousha Gir.
The tournament also witnessed the holding of two rounds for the falconers of the Al Dhafra region in the category of chicks of all kinds, in addition to a round for the junior category, and another for general youth, in addition to the local production round designated for pure gyr falcons and pure “chicken” falcons.
The Ghayathi Cup competitions, “General Category Open,” resulted in Abdullah Khalfan Butti Salem Al Qubaisi winning first place, the Dubai team came second, and Abdullah Khalfan Butti Salem Al Qubaisi third, while the Ghayathi Cup competitions, “General Malak Category,” witnessed Khalifa Sultan Salem Al Hafri winning first place, Saeed Ahmed bin Sheikh Mejren came second, and Hamad Ahmed bin Mejren third.
Faraj Ali Al-Mahri Ali Al-Mazrouei topped the Ghayathi Cup for the Al Dhafra Region, Mohammed Saeed Abdullah Al-Mansouri came second, and Hadi Saeed Salem Al-Mansouri came third.
His Excellency Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri praised the distinguished level of the participants, praising the support of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, for sports and youth, in a way that enhances the national heritage, consolidates the national identity, and encourages the new generation to practice traditional sports such as falconry.
He added that this support also contributes to promoting cultural tourism, highlighting the Emirati heritage locally and globally, and ensuring its sustainability for future generations, praising the efforts of the organizing committee and those responsible for making the heritage event a success.
Sultan Al Mahmoud, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Falconers Club, stressed that the excellence of the tournament is an extension of the continuing successes of falconry competitions in the country, with the support and interest of the wise leadership, which constitutes a great incentive to continue working to revive the sport of fathers and grandfathers, and to cooperate with sponsors and supporters, to attract the largest number of people interested in the sport of falconry.
