Tesla is the most popular in the used electric car market in the UAE

The Dubizzle platform issued its annual report on the used electric car market for the year 2025, highlighting the path of electric mobility in the UAE.

The platform revealed an annual growth of 41% in the number of used electric car ads on its website, while its 2025 report provided a detailed look at the trends in electric vehicle adoption, consumer behavior, and the highest-performance models, as the American Tesla brand maintained its position as the most popular brand in the used electric car market in the Emirates.

Dubizzle pointed to two clear shifts in the market: the increasing demand for long-range electric vehicles, and the increasing level of confidence in Chinese manufacturers.

Dubizzle confirmed that the used electric car market in the country continued to grow during the year 2025, driven by government support, the expansion of charging networks, and the modernization of tariffs. It indicated that the “Tesla” brand was at the forefront of the scene, followed by the Chinese “BYD”, while the German “BMW” and “Mercedes-Benz” brands maintained a strong presence.

According to Dubizzle, Tesla’s lead was supported by the Model 3 equipped with an updated performance unit that improved control and driving quality, while BYD came in second place, led by the Hahn model, which is known for its permanent four-wheel drive system and multiple driving modes suitable for different terrains. The BMW iX model also recorded stable demand thanks to its two-engine system, all-wheel drive, and fifth generation (5G) communication technologies.

In turn, Mercedes-Benz continued its strong performance with the CLA and EQS models supported by consistent interest from buyers, and other brands such as Porsche (Macan), Xiaomi (SU7), Zyker (Zyker 1 and Zyker 7X), Avatar (Avatar 12), and Audi (A6) also performed well in the used electric car market.

According to Dubizzle, the Tesla Model 3 emerged as the most in-demand used electric sedan, with prices ranging between 94,761 dirhams for the 2021 model, and 164,475 dirhams for the 2025 model.

The Porsche Taycan also achieved a strong performance, with prices ranging between 331 thousand and 681 dirhams for the 2021 model, and 405 thousand dirhams for the 2025 model.

The list of the most popular used electric sedans in the UAE included: “BY D Haan”, “Tesla Model S”, “BMW i3”, “Xiaomi SU7”, “Avatar 12”, “BMW i5”, “Mercedes-Benz EQS”, and “Mercedes-Benz EQE”.

In the SUV category, the “Tesla” Model “Y” topped the demand, with prices ranging between 93 thousand and 615 dirhams for the 2021 model, and 186 thousand and 112 dirhams for the 2025 model, and the “Tesla Model For the 2023 and 2024 model years, respectively.

Sherif Magdy, Director of Sales Department at Dubizzle Cars, said: “The car market in the UAE in 2025 appears to be more mature and aware than ever before, as buyers have become more informed and are conducting research and prior study before making a decision, enabling them to choose what suits their actual needs, whether it is a practical car for daily use, a four-wheel drive car equipped with the latest technology, or an electric vehicle.”

He added: “Looking at our data, one trend no longer dominates the market, but rather demand is distributed across multiple categories, reflecting more personal and practical purchasing decisions.”

He continued: “Used cars still attract a wide segment of buyers, especially in light of the continued rise in prices of new cars, and SUVs maintain their position, while technologies have become a more influential factor in the purchasing decision, in addition to the growing demand for electric cars with the improvement of the infrastructure of charging stations.”

Dubizzle pointed out that its report is based on data extracted from its platform’s advertisements, and may not necessarily reflect the actual volume or precise details of car sales transactions in the UAE, explaining that the popularity of each car is measured based on the number of visits recorded for its advertisements on the platform.

• The increasing demand for long-range electric vehicles, and the high level of confidence in the Chinese industry.

• “Dubizzle” recorded a 41% growth in the number of used electric car ads in 2025.
