The Hadhramaut National Council appreciates the Kingdom’s measures to stop destabilizing the security of Yemen

The Hadhramaut National Council appreciated what the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership, government and armed forces, did Respect UN Security Council resolutions, most notably Resolution (2216).

The Council said in an official statement that it followed with great interest the statement issued by the leadership of Coalition Forces to Support Legitimacy regarding the limited military operation carried out in the port of Mukalla, which targeted a shipment of weapons and combat vehicles that were illegally brought into the governorate, which constitutes a direct threat to the security and stability of Hadhramaut.

The Hadhramaut National Council praised the coalition leadership’s commitment to the rules of international humanitarian law, and its keenness to protect civilians and vital installations, impose calm, and prevent any military support outside the framework of the legitimate Yemeni government, which contributes to preserving Security in Hadhramaut and spare it from the scourge of conflict and chaos.

The Council affirmed its full support for the legitimate authority represented by the Presidential Leadership Council and the local authority in Hadhramaut Governorate, and its support for all efforts led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to establish security and stability, and to enable the people of Hadhramaut to manage the affairs of their governorate away from weapons and impose a fait accompli.
