Manchester City is steps away from finalizing the deal for Ghanaian winger Semenyu

According to press reports, Manchester City is close to completing the transfer of Ghanaian Anthony Semenyu, Bournemouth player, to its ranks during the coming period.

Sky Sports reported that Manchester City is very close to reaching a comprehensive agreement to sign Semenyu from Bournemouth.

She added that negotiations between the two clubs have progressed rapidly over the past 24 hours, with the agreement reaching advanced stages.

She explained that the final details regarding the value of the release clause in the player’s contract, estimated at 65 million pounds sterling, have been agreed upon between the two clubs, and it is assumed that Manchester City is also close to finalizing the agreement on the personal terms in the Ghanaian winger’s contract.

However, according to the same source, there is no need to rush to complete the agreement, as it is not expected that another club will reach an advanced stage of negotiations, and the clause regarding the player’s transfer will not be activated until Thursday, when the winter transfer window opens.

Manchester City is the only club that has contacted Bournemouth so far regarding the transfer clause in Semenyu’s contract, which is scheduled to be activated from January 1 to 10.

This comes despite the presence of previous interest from Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea in the player before the Christmas period, as Chelsea preferred not to proceed with the deal, after submitting a previous offer, while Tottenham moved towards other goals.

Semenyu remains in Bournemouth’s squad for the team’s away match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday. It is also not unlikely that the player will be on the roster for his team’s match on Saturday against Arsenal.

Representatives of Semenyo came to Manchester yesterday, Monday, to discuss the special terms of his contract with the club, while negotiations are progressing positively between the two clubs.
